My Good Mourning Place
My Good Mourning Place is a bereavement center especially designed to help children and teens cope with the death of a loved one. Our services are volunteer-based and free to the families we serve. We are located on Milwaukee's south side and serve all of southeastern Wisconsin.
Kids attending our programs are invited to share their thoughts and memories in a safe, caring and home-like environment. Our trained facilitators help them to communicate their feelings and integrate the loss into their livesby leading groups in various projects (art, drama, music, play).
Our mission is to offer free assistance to children and their families who have experienced grief due to the loss of a loved one. Families are offered support, understanding, empathy and education in a safe environment that is conducive to acceptance, respect, trust, and caring throughout the grief process.
