In today’s world, each one of us is affected in some way by tragedies both personal and around the world in which we live. In
working with children struggling to make sense of their loved one’s death, you begin to understand the importance of being companions
on the journey. Children teach us that every human being regardless of age needs someone to be there for them. We need each other
to make a better life for the future.
How your support benefits MGMP. Think of the child who hid under the table during group because he was so afraid to speak. Think of the child who saw his mother shot to death. Think of a 4 year old child who had been physically tortured by neighborhood kids and then saw his mother murdered just days later. Think of a family of eight children whose mother was killed in a car accident. Think of three little girls whose adoptive parents died, only intensifying their feelings of abandonment.
