On May 9, 2018, Bob Mansell, president of board of My Good Mourning Place, attended a Knights of Columbus event to accept a check from the Knights as a donation to My Good Mourning Place.
Bob shared the following remarks with the attendees that evening.
Although grief is most commonly referred to in terms of death, individuals can also experience grief over other life-altering events, such as divorce, losing a job, or relocating (Mental Help)
Children and teens are the silent sufferers who experience grief and bereavement with the death of a loved one or friend or some life-altering event.
My Good Mourning Place provides the presence and support for children and teens and their remaining family and friends to facilitate grief on their terms in a safe and respectful way. Our focus is on them and their journey.
On behalf of the children and teens, My Good Mourning Place thanks the Knights of Columbus for this generous gift that will benefit those who enter to experience healing and peace.
